Melsted Badehotel is uniquely situated right on the water’s edge at Melsted Beach, just outside Gudhjem on Bornholm’s east coast. Here, you’ll enjoy direct access to the beach, views of the Baltic Sea and Christiansø, and nature right on your doorstep.
Is Melsted Badehotel located right on the beach and the coast?
Yes, we’re right next to one of Bornholm’s finest sandy beaches. From the hotel’s own 18,000 m² beach meadow, you can walk straight out onto the dunes and down to the beach.
Does the hotel have its own private swimming dock?
There is a swimming pier at Melsted Beach, which our guests are welcome to use for a morning swim or a dip in the ocean.

Do all the rooms at Melsted Badehotel have a view of the sea?
All of our rooms have a view of the ocean or the water. Sandhuset is set back a bit in the peaceful garden and has a limited view of the ocean.
Do the hotel rooms have bathtubs?

Are there TVs in the rooms?
No, we have deliberately chosen to create a place of peace and togetherness. Here, nature, the sea, and tranquility take center stage.

Does Melsted Badehotel have a sauna or wellness facilities?

Does the hotel offer yoga sessions or retreats?
Yes, we regularly offer yoga, both as one-time sessions and as yoga retreats.
What exercise options are available during a stay at the hotel?
Among other things, you can practice yoga, Pilates, and EMS training, go kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding, swim, hike, run, and bike in the area around the hotel.
Are there any good running routes around Melsted Badehotel?
Yes, there are great running routes along the coast, through the forest and our local rift valley, and along the idyllic hiking trail toward Gudhjem.
