Melsted Badehotel is Bornholm's first seaside hotel, founded in 1932. The seaside hotel has a special place in the hearts of Bornholmers and has been considered one of Bornholm's best. It has been a local focal point over the years, and has undergone a renaissance after the renewal of the seaside hotel in 2022. Melsted Badehotel is straight out of TV2's Badehotellet, a genuine seaside hotel, and Bornholm's first, in the island's most beautiful location directly on Melsted Strand. Melsted Strand is a peaceful sandy beach with its own jetty, dunes, wild nature and an idyllic stream within walking distance of Gudhjem. This is Bornholm at its best. Gastronomy
Our restaurant is based on classic cuisine with Danish-French traditions. For lunch you can enjoy Bornholm-inspired dishes with innovative open sandwiches, a menu of the day and a selection of seasonal blackboard dishes. In the evening, you can choose à la carte or one of our wonderful menus - the large signature menu or the water's edge menu, which changes daily based on seasonal ingredients. As a new feature, we have also introduced a hotel menu for overnight guests, which changes daily, because there's nothing better than eating here at the water's edge after a day full of adventures around the island.

Restaurant Melsted Badehotel is decorated in light, light shades with beautiful references to the hotel's period of origin in the 1930s. The view of the sea, beach and Christiansø couldn't be better. It almost seems as if the restaurant and the sea merge into one. Here you will be spoiled with tasty and honest food almost floating above the water. From the restaurant's large viewing terrace you can enjoy the warmth of the sun all day long with views of the Baltic Sea, Melsted Strand, Christiansø and the island's distinctive cliffs.
