Melsted Badehotel is a genuine seaside hotel and Bornholm's first seaside hotel from 1932. Combining classic seaside hotel idyll with Nordic minimalism, the seaside hotel exudes history and a relaxed, homely cottage atmosphere that keeps guests coming back year after year. Our newly renovated rooms are individually decorated with carefully selected references to the hotel's period of origin, including historic wallpaper, high paneling and furniture in classic Danish design. Winter gourmet experience
Troels and Daniel have developed a special pampering menu for our guests who visit us in November and December. The special tranquillity and time for intimacy that characterizes this period on the island also means that our team of chefs have time to go into detail and put extra care into the dining experience in the restaurant. You arrive on Friday afternoon for coffee, tea and homemade cake in our cozy living room. The evening offers welcome bubbles and a delicious 3-course menu with a wine menu. Saturday starts with a delicious breakfast here at the water's edge and time to explore the raw and wild beauty of the winter island. Back at the hotel, we have lit up the fireplace and pamper you with welcome bubbles, a 6-course gourmet menu, wine menu and coffee/tea/avec and sweets. From Melsted Badehotel you can experience Bornholm's nature in different ways - enjoy a refreshing harbor bath from our local Melsted Harbour or directly from the beach, take a kayak trip in one of our own kayaks that are free to use, or catch a sea trout right in front of the hotel, which is one of the island's best fishing spots. We also have bikes available for you to explore one of the island's many exciting cycling routes. Or put on your hiking shoes as our local area offers beautiful nature experiences in all directions.
