The classic kitchen
The cuisine at Melsted Badehotel is inspired by classic Danish-French traditions and the best of Bornholm's larder. During the yoga retreat, you can enjoy some of our delicious salads for lunch and a daily changing vegetarian menu for dinner, based on local seasonal ingredients. Start the day with a morning swim on the beach and then enjoy our delicious breakfast, which also varies daily with fresh fruit, berries, homemade pastries, local specialties and small hot dishes.
The best view on the island
Restaurant Melsted Badehotel is decorated in light Nordic shades with elegant references to the seaside hotel's original period in the 1930s. The view of the Baltic Sea and Christiansø is unsurpassed, and it almost feels as if the restaurant and the sea merge. Here you can indulge your senses with honest and tasty food while feeling like you're floating above the water. From the restaurant's large viewing terrace you can enjoy the warm rays of the sun all day long with panoramic views of the Baltic Sea, Melsted Strand, Christiansø and the characteristic cliffs. The seaside hotel's 18,000 square meter private beach meadow is full of beautiful breathing spaces that invite you to immerse yourself and pamper yourself in nature. Enjoy your morning coffee in our fine white sun loungers and an afternoon drink over a game of petanque to the peaceful sound of the Baltic Sea. If your schedule permits, you can also rent a bike at the beach hotel and set off on one of the island's exciting cycling routes through the island's enchanting landscape. At our reception you can get plenty of inspiration and guidance.
