Melsted Badehotel was founded in 1932 and is Bornholm's first seaside hotel. The seaside hotel holds a special place in the hearts of most Bornholmers and has always been considered among Bornholm's best. Over time, the hotel has been a local focal point and after the renovation the hotel underwent in 2022, it has had a bit of a renaissance. The restaurant practically floats above the Baltic Sea with enchanting panoramic views both inside and out on the restaurant's large terrace. Nordic classic cuisine
At Restaurant Melsted Badehotel you can experience a Nordic interpretation of classic French cuisine. In between rounds of golf, you can enjoy Bornholm-inspired dishes with innovative open sandwiches or today's blackboard dishes for lunch. In the evening you can choose à la carte or from one of our wonderful menus, which all vary according to the season. Choose from our waterfront menu or the hotel menu of the day, which is a 3-course menu of the day for hotel guests. Golf & nature experiences in one
Bornholm's nature must be experienced! What better way than to play a round of golf at one of Denmark's best and most beautiful golf courses, also known as Rø Golfbaner, just a 5-minute drive from Melsted Badehotel. The club here is divided into Gudhjem Golf Club and Nordbornholms Golf Club, which has two unique 18-hole courses that can both be played. They are called New Course and Old Course respectively. There is also a cozy pay & play par 3 course and a nice driving range if you need to warm up first.
The surroundings are unique with forests, cliffs, height differences and views of the Baltic Sea all the way to Christiansø. Two 18-hole golf courses
Two 18-hole golf courses are just around the corner, the New Course and the Old Course in Gudhjem and Nordbornholm Golf Club respectively.
The New Course is designed by Line Mortensen, an internationally recognized golf course architect. The course winds its way from Rø Plantation down to the Baltic Sea, through spruce forest, partially protected deciduous forest, small lakes and disused quarries. There is a wide variety of vegetation and rich wildlife, so a round of golf here is a rare nature experience.
The Old Course is not as long as the New Course, but it is a very challenging course that you will have to play several times before you crack the code. Fortunately, it's not a course you'll get tired of. It runs through forest and cliffs with some fantastic holes, so we say it should be played many times and enjoyed during your golf and gumtree stay with us.
