And what better way than to play a round of golf at one of Denmark's best and most beautiful golf courses, also known as Rø Golf Courses, just about a 5-minute drive from Melsted Seaside Hotel. The club here is divided into Gudhjem Golf Club and Nordbornholms Golf Club, which boast two unique 18-hole courses, both of which can be played. They are called the New Course and the Old Course, respectively. There is also a pleasant pay & play par 3 course and a great driving range if you need to warm up first.
The surroundings are truly unique, with forests, cliffs, varying elevations, and views over the Baltic Sea all the way to Christiansø. Two 18-Hole Golf Courses
Two full 18-hole golf courses are located almost just around the corner: the New Course and the Old Course, at Gudhjem and Nordbornholms Golf Club respectively.
The New Course is designed by Line Mortensen, an internationally renowned golf course architect. The course winds its way from Rø plantation down to the Baltic Sea, through spruce forests, partially protected deciduous forests, small lakes, and disused quarries. Here, you'll find highly varied vegetation and abundant wildlife, making a round of golf here a rare nature experience.
The Old Course is shorter than the New Course, yet a very challenging course that you will need to play several times before you crack the code. Fortunately, it's not a course you'll get tired of. It runs through forests and cliffs, featuring some fantastically beautiful holes, so we encourage you to play it multiple times during your golf and gourmet stay with us.
