Administrative Receptionist
We are looking for a capable, service-oriented, and organized administrative receptionist to join our dedicated team.
Melsted Badehotel is located right on the waterfront just outside Gudhjem. It is an award-winning seaside hotel with 21 uniquely decorated rooms, a renowned restaurant, and a strong focus on attentive hospitality, aesthetics, and exceptional guest experiences.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining administrative tasks, coordination, guest relations, and day-to-day operations in a dynamic boutique hotel environment. You will play a key role in our daily operations and be instrumental in ensuring organization, clarity, and a professional experience for both guests and colleagues.
As a small beach hotel, we work closely together across departments, which is why we place great emphasis on flexibility, a sense of responsibility, and a positive team spirit.
Your job responsibilities
- Handling Reservations and Hotel Systems
- Responding to booking inquiries via email and phone
- Professional and friendly communication with guests before, during, and after their stay
- Daily coordination of the reception desk’s administrative tasks
- Preparing breakfast and guest lists for the kitchen team
- Planning housekeeping and coordinating daily cleaning and room service
- Daily briefings with housekeeping regarding priorities and guest needs
- Support for day-to-day operations and reception
- Assistance with serving breakfast and hosting, as needed
- Help maintain the high quality, atmosphere, and guest experience that Melsted Badehotel is known for
We imagine that you
- Has administrative experience or relevant administrative training
- Is organized, detail-oriented, and responsible
- Thrives on both responsibility and varied workdays
- Has strong communication skills and a natural flair for guest service
- Can maintain a clear overview during busy periods and work independently
- Is flexible and eager to assist across all hotel departments
- Has strong IT skills and picks up new systems quickly
- Speaks and writes Danish and English fluently
- Preferably with experience in the hotel, restaurant, or service industry

CHEF
You have:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an à la carte kitchen.
- Overview and basic knowledge of classic Danish-French cuisine.
- Ability to work for a period of 6-7 months on Bornholm
- Interest in working with local ingredients and joining a new, strong team focused on service and developing the gastronomic experience at Melsted Seaside Hotel
SERVER
You have:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an à la carte restaurant
- Overview and knowledge of service, wine, and food
- Opportunity to work for a period of 3-6 months on Bornholm
- Interest in joining a new team at a seasonally busy restaurant with a focus on classic and personal service
KITCHEN & RESTAURANT STAFF
You have:
- Some experience in the restaurant industry
- Desire to work with wine, food, and people in a busy environment
- Opportunity to work with varying hours during weekends and holiday periods (June-August)
